AHS Parent Council Constitution
AHS Parent Council Action Plan 2012-2013
During year 2012/13 the Parent Council will work towards the following tasks and activities.
- To hold at least 4 Parent Council meetings.
- To add a bit to the schools newsletter termly.
- We will ask parents views on various subjects and to ask if they have any skills that they could offer to the school.
- Will discuss results with the school staff and members at parent council meetings
- To support the school staff during open evenings, parent evenings and informative sessions that the school staff decide to hold.
- To organise a fundraising event for parents and children.
- To regularly discuss finance matters with clerk/treasurer and produce yearly accounts for AGM and arrange auditing of accounts.
- The chair to attend 2 centrally run Parent Chair meetings.
- To hold an AGM to report on activities and finance.
- To consult with the Parent Forum on suggestions for Parent Council involvement for 2012/13 and draft an action plan.
- Liase with SRC induction

The action plan will be discussed at the next meeting and contents approved before being submitted with 2012/13 funding application.

School Parent Evenings
Several Parent Council Parent Members are requested to be on hand at each Parent Evening to serve tea & coffee to parents and generally be available to parents for an informal chat. ( 18.15 - 20.30 hrs )
