AHS Remembrance

Anderson High School pupils observed a minutes silence to mark Armistice Day. Inside the school, pupils stopped what they were doing and reflected.

Outside the school, on a windy morning, a senior Higher History class, and Advanced Higher History pupils, laid wreath at the cairn at front of the school.

Kerem Tekcan, S2 played the ‘Last Post’, after which Ellie Copland and Lili Pedley laid a wreath on behalf of all AHS pupils. Christy Henderson, S6, read out ‘They Shall Not Grow Old’.

The small ceremony finished with both S5 Pupils Chrissie Arthur and Maya Riley reading out the names of all former pupils who were lost in WW1 and WW2.
